Membership Benefits
The Eureka Institute for Translational Medicine ultimately seeks to improve clinical care through education and research support.
By becoming a member you’ll have access to an international network of scientific collaboration, as well as the possibility of accessing research funds for targeted projects. We encourage member participation for those who do not have a formal role in whichever way they deem opportune to support the Institute.
Membership Levels:
Below are the various levels of membership available to candidates with a short
description of who may be included in each category. More information can be found in
the bylaws, accessible here
- Founders-People involved in establishing the Institute constitution or who have acquired senior membership (10 years).
- Member-Established clinician scientists and researchers at public or private institutions, universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies.
- Practitioner Member-Clinician scientists and researchers at the afore mentioned institutions who are at the beginning of their careers. People may remain in the category of Practitioner Member for a maximum of 3 (three) years.
- Honorary Member-People who have made a significant contribution to the field of research, or who have supported the Institute morally or physically.
- Institutional Partner-Legal people related to public or private institutions, universities, research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, public bodies or private law firms intending to support and promote the activities of the Institute for social purposes.
Membership Dues:
Membership fees are due by December 31st of each year, or upon confirmation of a
positive decision on a membership application.
Admission Process: Candidate member and practitioner members will be introduced by established members and/or the founding members. Applicants are also asked to submit an application to the Institute along with letters of support, proof of degrees, a CV and their desired membership level.
All membership requests will be voted on by the appropriate committee. If a candidate receives a negative decision, he or she may resubmit the application after two years of receipt of the decision. After a positive decision, the candidate is not considered a member until membership dues have been received by the Institute.
Candidate honorary members will be considered upon a proposal made by the President of the Institute.
